How Rock Island Speaks Works
1
Choose City or County
Use the clearly marked switch at the top of the site. City polls and County polls are kept separate.
2
Read the issue
Each poll includes a neutral summary and, when available, a link to the official source document.
3
Verify your address
City residents are matched to one of 7 wards. County residents are matched to one of 19 County Board districts.
4
Vote once
Your normalized address is protected with a one-way hash to reduce duplicate voting. Street addresses are not shown publicly.
5
See live results
City polls show citywide and ward results. County polls show countywide and County Board district results.
Independent public-opinion polling. Not an official City of Rock Island or Rock Island County government website, election, or referendum.
